Not So Gentle Reminders
Get Active Orlando partnership reaches out to the community through 36 banners promoting active living. The banners are periodically placed throughout Downtown Orlando. These colorful reminders urge us to walk, bike, and play for a prescribed 30 minutes each day. Be on the lookout for them!

Hit the Streets
More than 100 Get Active Orlando volunteers assessed the features, aesthetics, shade, and safety of Orlando streets. The results were used to develop City of Orlando policies. 
 
 
 
Getting Ready to Get Dirty
Get Active Orlando partners look over plans for the Parramore Community Garden. Community Gardening grows healthy habits, food and a strong neighborhood.

Parents, children, and the entire community come together each year for our community bike ride. Learn how to safely navigate the road on a bicycle, get a little exercise, and have a lot of fun!

Walking is an easy way to up your daily physical activity. Look for walking programs at recreation center or start one in your own neighborhood.
 
 
 
 
Back in the Saddle
The adult bike giveaway matches interested recipients with donated bicycles. The bikes are used for transportation and recreation – providing many recipients with a new way to get to work.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Jump for the Health of It!

Children participate in a “Double Dutch” jump rope program at the Downtown recreation Center. Shhh – don’t tell them, but it’s exercise!
